Cabins, St. George, pnuemonia and lots and lots of birthdays!

We have had a really fun couple of weekends in a row. Two weekends ago we were able to go up to a BEAUTIFUL cabin with some awesome friends. Our friends, Chad and Rachael invited us up to their AMAZING cabin two weekends ago and it was the most fun we have had in quite some time. They have THE cutest kids and I think I had more fun with them than the adults, not that, that is anything new! :) We were able to eat good food, play games and go for four wheeler rides during the most beautiful time of the year when all the leaves are changing. We had so much fun and can't thank them enough for including us in this fun weekend. Brittany and her cute kids were also able to come up and Danny joined us Saturday. I wish so much that we could have stayed longer but I had some church responsibilities to attend to.  Thanks again Chad and Rachael for the invite and we hope we can do it again sometime and also take you guys to St. George, so that we are not using you. :)

Last weekend we went to St. George with our bestest married couple friends (the only ones left that don't have kids) Cambria and Kirk Sawatzki. We had so much fun! It was way too short of a trip! Friday night until Sunday evening. Jeff played in a volleyball tournament all of Saturday until like 6pm and he took 2nd place. I was very proud of him! We always have so much fun with them! I wish that we could have stayed until Monday but I guess the best trips are always the ones where you need more time. Cam and Kirk are seriously SO much fun to be around and when it's the four of us there is NEVER a dull moment. We always have SO much fun and end up laughing until our stomachs are sore. Thanks for coming with us guys!

October is the month of birthday's for my family. The 7th of October is my wonderful mom's birthday! We were able to go out to dinner on her actual birthday. Earlier that day I let Jeff talk me into dying my hair a really dark red color and was surprised that I like it as much as I do. The 9th is my brother in law's b-day followed by the 11th which is my grandfather's day. The 19th is my brother Mark's birthday and I miss him and his wonderful wife living close to us. I miss them a lot and miss joking around and being able to punch my brother as often as I would like. Maybe someday they will move back. Last the best of all of those is the 20th...Jeff's birthday! It is quite the month of celebration! This year I decided to revert back to my childhood and made a candy poster board for Jeff's birthday. I must say that it was pretty creative and HILARIOUS!!! I cannot post what I wrote on it because it wasn't PG but it was pretty freaking funny! He appreciated it and laughed, which is all I can ask for! We went to Tepanyaki for dinner on his b-day and it was surprisingly pretty good. I had only been there once and didn't remember loving it too much so I was pleasantly surprised. I also was very fortunate in getting pneumonia this month. It has been a very long time since I have had it and I forgot how terrible it can be. I wake up so much during the night coughing so hard I can't breathe and then Jeff yells at me to stop coughing which is SO easy to do! :) I am hoping that it is slowly getting better.

I am very encouraged with our new OB/GYN doctor. We went to him less than a week ago and were able to find out a ton of very helpful information about why we are having trouble getting and staying pregnant. I also learned something that is very useful. I have been working out and eating healthier than I ever have in the last year or so and I just found out that my thyroid level is more than double what it should be. This makes so much sense as to why I haven't had energy and also why I haven't lost very much weight no matter how hard I try. I am glad to know that it isn't just me and there is something we can do about it. Now we are going to start trying a few new approaches and see how that goes and hope and pray that things work out for us. We are VERY ready to be parents and can't wait until it's our turn. I can't believe that Jeff is 28 now and I am closer to 25 now and we are still not parents. However, I wouldn't change all the time we have had to play and get to know each other better and travel. Until then, we plan on playing harder and traveling as much as we can before we are blessed enough with a baby. I also want to thank everyone for their unconditional love and support through this past year of trials we have had to endure. We could not have done it without our friends and family and the love that we have received! So thank you all very much! I again apologize if this is too much information (TMI, hahah don't you love computer lingo?!?!) but I have been fairly public with all this information and figure I might as well continue writing each step down so we have a record of this time in our lives.
